A unique facility, authentic period buildings from the 1800s, acres of beautiful forest, hiking and cross-country ski trails, an authentic ‘sugar shack’ and the Rouge River – all part of the experience waiting for you at the centre!

Set in 155 hectares of natural beauty in the heart of the Laurentian Mountains, the Arundel Nature and Science Centre represents a unique opportunity for young people to engage in meaningful learning, outdoors.

What makes us unique
All our programs are linked to the Quebec Education Program both at elementary and secondary levels.

All our programs are taught with a "nature mentoring" approach, with a focus on environmental stewardship, personal accountability, empowerment and positive community building.

The importance of NATURE in education

Connecting with the natural environment, Richard Louv, 2008 Audubon Medal recipient and author of Last Child in the Woods, states how exposure to the natural world is essential to our physical and emotional development especially in children and youth.  Through all of our programmes offered at Arundel Nature and Science Centre, students are given opportunities to connect with nature.  Programming in a natural environment encourages students to make connections between their actions and the natural environment and hopefully develop environmental stewards for the future.  A visit to ANSC is an effective way to promote wellness, health and development of students an especially, nature stewardship concepts.
